PHILODENDRON FLORIDA GHOST
HOW TO INCREASE VARIEGATION

In recent years, the Philodendron Florida Ghost has become one of the most popular rare Aroids among plant collectors and we can definitely see why. This iconic Philodendron is known for its funky-shaped leaves but most importantly, its creamy white leaves that gradually turn green. You can’t say no to variegated leaves!

However, having your Philodendron Florida Ghost shoot out white leaves might be a bit of a challenge at first. What if the new growth remains green? You might even be concerned if your Florida Ghost is really a Ghost instead of a regular Philodendron Florida. The billion dollar question therefore is: how to make your Philodendron Florida Ghost whiter?

Light

The answer is simple: the recipe for whiter and mintier leaves is more light. When a Philodendron Florida Ghost receives low amounts of light, new leaves most likely come out green or at best, minty green. Try to give your Florida Ghost sufficient light but avoid direct sunlight as this might burn the leaves. We suggest using grow lights for best results!
